Everyone knows there is an opt out field in Vtiger, but not many people know what it does.
When you send an email in Vtiger 6.x, whether from the detail record, the list view or a workflow — if the opt out field is checked, the email address from that record will not populate to the email TO address. I other words, unless you manually put the email address into the CC field of the send-email window, you can’t send emails in Vtiger to Leads/Orgs/Contacts that are Opt Out = checked.
