Enhanced Lead Conversion gives users the ability to specify whether a converted lead should be linked to an Existing Organization, and, if so, gives them the ability to search for and select the correct one. This is a significant improvement over the standard vTiger function, which links to existing Organizations only when an exact match is found between “Company Name” of the Lead to be converted and “Organization Name” of the existing organization, and does so without informing the user in advance.
This modification has, in the past, proved extremely useful for firms doing extensive prospecting with existing clients, as it enables them to treat new prospects within that Organization as Leads, while still being able to easily tie everything back to the original Organization record.
