The “Forgot password?” button is non-functional in Vtiger and has been since version 5.2.1. To be honest, we are unsure why this issue has not been addressed and know this can be frustrating for systems administrators, who have to reset forgotten passwords.
For clients who came to us, we fixed the issue and the following image shows the process that occurs. The function sends password reset instructions through email once the user clicks the “Forgot Password?” button, enters their username and email, and clicks submit.
