Our client has worldwide customers so we created a news, weather, and time widget. It filters and displays the information from the web about that contact’s location onto their contact summary page in Vtiger.
How Does the Weather, News, and Time Widget Work?
The widget displays updates by:
- using the address data on the contact record
- sending the address data to Google News, a weather service, and time service
- pulling and filtering the news, weather, and time data back into the widget
- displaying the three pieces of information in a nice view on the contact summary record page
