You may have come to realize that a field you reference is not searchable through Vtiger’s global search. Our client found this to be true when they went to search the purchase order number. We added the purchase order number field into their global search so that it populates with every correlating record that contains the number.
The Vtiger global search has only a select few fields that it performs the search on. If you add a custom field and try to search a value from that custom field it won’t appear in the results. To correct this issue, we have made updates to the list of fields that the global search checks. This provides more accurate results and finally makes the Vtiger global search useful.
