VTiger Plans for 6.2 Release
This was posted in the vtiger developers forum today. I interpret this as 6.2 will be released 6-7 months from now. It will be only bug fixes — no new functions. If they don’t make enough progress, they will release 6.1.1 with a smaller set of fixes.

We are adopting: FrameworkVersion.ReleaseVersion.MinorVersion
6.2.0 – planned released (6 to 7 months cycle).
6.1.1 – would happen if there is any show-stoppers.
