One of our clients who has a lot of users asked us to set up a live chat app so their vtiger users could chat with the sys admin if they have questions. It was simple to install and it is a free app for the basic plan – https://www.smartsupp.com/. I think this would not apply to most of Vtiger user teams who have smaller user counts, but it might help some of you.
More frequently we get support/customization inquiries about a chat app between users. We have integrated Slack with vtiger. Slack is free for their basic package and is a great app for internal live chat conversations. Is anyone doing something else good for this function?
Lastly, we (and many of our clients) use zopim live chat for our website. It has a Vtiger integration that works pretty well. All chats get logged in vtiger as a Contact/Ticket. I wish it was more configurable, but it is the best thing I have found. Does anyone else have a tool for web chat that you like?
