I am sure you are setting big personal and business goals for the new year. If you are not already enforcing secure passwords in your company this is a MUST to add to your list. You WILL get hacked. It is just a matter of time.
Many Boru clients are small businesses and the owners think, “Hackers want to go after big corporations, they will never try to break into my server/system.”. The fact is that hackers are scanning IPs/servers/systems til they find one they can break into. Or they are phishing, but that will have to wait for another blog post.
Here is a list of the most common passwords. If your passwords or your employees’ passwords are on this list or are just not complex enough, you are at risk and you WILL get hacked. Here is google’s recommendation on strong passwords.
